EAIF plans to raise $500 million
Anthony Osae-Brown, Nigeria Bureau Chief, Bloomberg, reported on EAIF’s plan to raise up to $500mn over the next 3 years to invest in infrastructure projects across the African continent. “The fund is banking on increased interest in Africa from investors looking for bigger returns than they can get in Europe and the US,” Osae-Brown wrote, noting EAIF’s active current loan portfolio of $1.15bn across 17 African nations.
